--------------------------------------------------------------
Because I feel like writing some, and I haven't updated in quite a while, that and I can't sleep at all.
I've been a bit absent from here, I know. I've been sick the whole week, butgetting better. I still don't have any finished drawings to submit, but I'm working on a couple pics, experimenting a bit on them, and hopefully will finish one of them tomorrow, and sketching a bunch of failures as usual. I'll refrain from posting WIPs though because if I do, SOMEONE will probably shoot me in the face.
I bought the Devil May Cry boxset, with includes DMC 1, 2 and 3: Special edition, which have been one of my many distractions lately. I know I'm way behind when it comes to gaming in general, and the little modern games I play, I do on my computer, but I've been wanting these games for years, literally.
Aside from that, there's a little vampire movie that has kept my attention for quite a while, Let The Right One In, horror drama and coming of age story based on a book of the same name. The story deals mostly with the relationship between two 12-year-old children, one of them a vampire; I won't go further than that because that would be spoiling it, but after watching this (Shame on me and bittorrent) and I can tell you it's awesome.
If you read, or watched, Twilight (a bit on that later) and hated it, well, this is NOTHING like it, the story sticks to the vampire lore more and doesn't make any weird twists to it, the characters are very likeable, complex and fully developed, the story is very deep and deals with very dark themes most filmakers refuse to aproach nowdays. For those who DID like twilight or any cheesy horror flick being released lately (LOL SAW V), well, you got a chance to redeem yourself by watching this (Or reading the book, which I'll surely get for christmas), that way you'll know what real horror and real vampires are all about.
Speaking of twilight, I really don't have a valid opinion on it since I haven't read the whole book (And I refuse to do it), but from what little I DID read, I can tell it is toxic waste and should be avoided like the plage if you want to keep your sanity. I could force myself into it and try to write an actual review, but I'm not that crazy and masochistic. So yeah, don't read it. Or watch the movie. You'll do yourself a favor.
...I guess I wrote a lot and didn't say much as always. Like I said, I just wanted to write about something

"Let The Right One In" looks very good btw. it also looks like a depressing type of film. I might watch it if I find someone to go to the movies with me
Oh, and I have not seen Twilight yet or read the book, I've been thinking of watching the movie though, but I'm not too sure if I should xD

Oh yeah, it is quite depressing but still a beautiful, if twisted, story. I heard the producer of Cloverfield was going to remake it for american audiences, but I'm not sure how it will turn out. If you get the chance, pick up the book, it was $10 on Amazon last time I checked. I think it's also called "Let me in" in Northamerica so you can search for it that way as well.
As for twilight, well, I can't say more than I already have, the only appeal (if any) of the book is "How sexy and perfect both edward and Bella are". Aside from that, is as deep and poorly written as most fanfiction you find around on the internet. I can't say anything about the movie, but I don't expect much.

I thought "Let The Right One In" was already out, XD ah well, hope the version for American audiences is just as good, or at least close.
